Malts & Matching Jammies

I had a few cute pictures to share, and since this is my New Year's resolution, I thought I better keep on top of things here! Last weekend we enjoyed malts after naps on Saturday...M1 was so excited to help out, and slurped it right down!

Enjoying our strawberry malts. Mmmm!

Uh oh! Looks like someone is waiting for a taste! :)

For Christmas the girls got matching pjs from their grandma and grandpa. M1 LOVES that they get to match, and M2 doesn't know what's going on. Ha! She insisted that I take pictures of them. Good idea!

Goofballs!

Thanks for checkin in...at least, I hope people are checkin in! Leave a comment or two so I know SOMEONE is seeing this. :)

Snip Snip

Well, M1 is GORGEOUS after her haircut, and she had so much fun! The girl who cut her was also named M, so that made her happy too. Take a look at our beauty...

In the 'special' chair :)

So pretty

A balloon AND a sucker?! Wow!

The Countdown is On!!

M2 is 11 months! That means in one month we'll have a one-year old! Yippee! That also means that in one month we won't have to deal with bottles and formula. Awesome! It's a little hard to believe, but I'm so excited for what's to come.

It's getting harder every month to get a good picture of her smiling/looking at the camera and to actually SEE the sign. It's quite the job. Anyway...this is what we were able to get...

Just us girls!

Oh, and we thought we'd do a silly one too! (You gotta do a silly one!)

M1 has her first 'real' haircut tomorrow (aka - me not snipping the ends off after a bath) and I think I've talked her in to being pretty excited about it. Fun! The stylist's name is also M, and I told her she could get her hair washed in the 'special' sink with the 'special' shampoo. I've learned that using the word 'special' before pretty much anything will bring a smile to her face. :) Funny. We'll post some pictures of her beautiful new 'do' this weekend.
Stay tuned!

Oh, and we added another snow day to the count on Wednesday...that makes 6! Wow!

Thanks for reading.

Goodbye Summer - Hello Snow Days!

As much as I love teaching and my students, it is depressing to think that I have already lost 5 days of my summer due to all these snow days! I LOVE spending time at home with my girls, but I think I'd rather spend sunny days at home instead of -20 degree days at home. Anyway...enough belly-achin'...we have enjoyed our snow days together and I DO love wearing pajamas all day. :)

M2 is getting so big these days, and she's been happier this week too - which is nice! I swear she says 'all done' when I say it to her after she's done eating. I'll work on a video to prove it. Ha. She holds the play phone (or any toy, really) up to her ear when we say "Hello!" It's so cute. I've decided on a birthday party theme for her and am plugging away on all the details. I think I could be a child's birthday party planner for my next career. Is there such a thing??

This is our peanut at 10 months!

M1 can finally say the 'c/k' and 'g' sounds & I'm so proud of her! (Can you tell I'm a teacher?) She'll be reading in no time now...ok, maybe not...but we ARE talking about which preschool to send her to next year. Is she already that old!? Oh my! She will have so much fun in preschool though. I (almost) can't wait to see how excited she'll be, and how much she'll learn. There is a Christian preschool in town that's great (I did some student teaching there), and a preschool at the school I work at that has an awesome teacher - so it's hard to decide.

Here she is being a rock star on 'the stage' (aka ottoman). So funny!

I hope you all have an awesome weekend! Thanks for reading!

A Jolly 'ol Time

Well, we made it through the holiday season with just a couple bumps in the road. We spent Christmas Eve at my mom's for brunch, and at B's parent's for supper. It was a busy day, but so much fun! M1 LOVED playing with 'the boys' (my brothers) in the snow, and would have stayed outside until her nose froze off. She LOVES the snow!

J and M1 having fun in the snow!

HOLD ON!

Thanks to Uncle L for the new sled! M1 received her first - of many, I'm sure - Barbie too. I was a little nervous about it, and advised my mom to find the one that was wearing the most amount of clothing. :) I think the attire has changed JUST a little since I had Barbies. I was also nervous that we would have to have an anatomy talk since Barbie has a few more 'features' than Strawberry Shortcake and the dolls in the dollhouse. But - so far, so good! Phew!!

Our Christmas morning started out interesting, to say the least. We noticed M2's eyes were a little red when she woke up from her afternoon nap on Christmas Eve, and since pink eye had been at daycare, we knew right away what the deal was. So...we started some drops that evening that I had at home from when I had pink eye a couple years ago. A couple things you must know about putting eye drops in a baby's eye - it's IMPOSSIBLE! The first time I kind of tricked her, but after that is was a losing situation. Poor thing!

By Christmas morning, I was ready for a different form of medicine to give her because the eye drops were driving me crazy! We quick opened presents on Christmas morning and then I took her to the ER. The good news is that we got right in! Ha! The bad news is that the doctor gave us eye drops. Grrr! We also found out that she had another ear infection - #3 to be exact. She just can't win. We have a referral in to have an ENT doctor look at her ears next week to see if she's eligible to get tubes in her ears.

So...other than that...(that's enough) we had a good break. We spent the Sunday after Christmas at my dad's, and have spent the week organizing the house to find room for all the girls' new goodies. I think M1 plays with M2's new things more than her own some times. Silly girl!

Our girls.

Even with her pink eyes...she's still pretty sweet. :)

SO excited about new crayons! Who doesn't love new crayons!?

M1 with her Bitty Baby and matching jammies. She's so proud. Thanks, Kiki!

It's back to work today! I'm missing the girls, but enjoying getting 'back to normal' I guess. I hope the next time I post, I will have good news about M2's ears. We are becoming regulars at the clinic, and it's so frustrating! Not to mention that she's probably tired of feeling icky. We have high hopes that 2010 will be easier than 2009! My New Year's resolution is to post more often...so you better READ it more often too! :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM OUR SILLY GIRLS!
